The first teaser trailer for James Cameron’s “Avatar: The Way of Water” was dropped online on May 9 after playing exclusively in Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Expectations for the 2009 film sequel were skyrocketing, and this was seen when the teaser was dropped online. The teaser has completed its first 24-hour online window with 148.6 million views, according to Disney and 20th Century (via THR). The number of views includes 23 million from China alone.
